I am a fourth year Ph.D. candidate at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) in the Social Computing Research group with Prof. Krishna P. Gummadi as my advisor. Prior to joining MPI-SWS, I did a Masters in Computer engineering from Sharif University in Iran.

My research focuses on information consumption in social media particularly along three dimensions of efficiency, trust, and divisiveness. My research interests lie at the intersection of data mining, social computing, and natural language processing.
