About

Hi! I am Nina, a 2nd-year PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems where I am advised by Dr. Manuel Gomez Rodriguez and at ETH Zurich where I am co-advised by Prof. Dr. Karsten Borgwardt under the ELLIS PhD Program. My interests lie in human-centric machine learning for healthcare applications, on how to leverage the collaboration between human and machine learning models to create better performing and robust systems. In particular, I am interested in the design of collaborative decision-support systems to tackle problems associated with standardizing healthcare.

Trivia

  • My academic background is in computer science from ETH Zurich with focus on theoretical computer science, randomized algorithms and probabilistic methods.
