About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Max Planck Institute for Software Systems at Kaiserslautern, Germany since January 2018. I am hosted by Manuel Gomez Rodriguez. I received my PhD from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. My supervisor was Prof. Niloy Ganguly. During that time, I was a part of the Complex Network Research Group (CNeRG) at IIT Kharagpur. My PhD work was supported by Google India PhD Fellowship 2013.

I did my BTech in Electrical Engineering and MTech in Control Systems Engineering both from IIT Kharagpur.

Research Interests

My main research interests broadly lie in the area of Machine Learning and its applications on networks. Currently my focus is modeling, learning and control of networked dynamical processes. To this aim, I used different Point process based techniques to model various complex dynamics like opinion-diffusion, information propagation in social networks.

I also worked on supervised learning over graphs, for example, link prediction and recommendation problems. Very recently, I started working on deep learning on graphs, for example, deep generative random graph model, deep reinforcement learning of networked processes, etc.
